X Games 2012 Recap

Posted on July 3rd, 2012

The California RampWorks crew is breaking down the courses and ramps as another memorable Summer X Games comes to an end. The crowd turned out and athletes pushed the limits, showing the world why they’re the best.

Young Guns took to the Big Air- Trey Wood, Jagger Eaton, Alex Sorgente and Tom Shaar. These athletes offered a look to the future of Big Air, but it was veteran Bob Burnquist who overcame injury to take the gold.

Canadian Pierre-Luc Gagnon finished on top in Skate Vert, meeting Bucky Lasek and Andy Macdonald at the podium. Scotty Cranmer took BMX Park and Brazilian Pedro Barros claimed Gold in Skate Park, after an edge-of-your-seat final. At 17 years old, this is Barro’s second XG medal and probably not his last. Paul Rodriguez and Alexis Sablone took Gold in Men’s and Women’s Skate Street respectively.

After all the adrenaline and excitement of X Games 2012, it’s hard to believe the CA RampWorks crew will have the site packed up and out before the end of the week.
