  • Project Scope: Design/Build
  • On March 26, 2012, Tom Schaar landed the first-ever 1080 on a skateboard. California RampWorks was strategic in helping Tom see the trick to its reality, by building a custom roller across the MegaRamp gap at Woodward West. The roller stretched 70ft long and stood 8ft tall. It allowed Tom to generate enough speed to hit the quarter for the 1080 attempt. Tom landed the trick after only 5 tries. California RampWorks was also helpful in gathering funding from Red Bull and permissions to build the roller from Woodward West. The roller was built in a small window of 4 days.
